How taxes and timing can increase wealth

On August 27, 2019, Professor Wade Pfau, Retirement Center Co-director Steve Parrish, and Managing Director of CFA Institute Stephen Horan will come together to discuss the optimal withdrawal strategies that currently exist for retirees using multiple types of tax-advantaged savings accounts (“TDAs”).

The webcast will focus on using withdrawal-location strategies, in which traditional IRA distributions and other tax favored assets are applied against exemptions, deductions, and lightly taxed tax brackets. These strategies can potentially increase a retiree’s accumulation residual by hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Learning Objectives:
  • Review the conventional wisdom
  • Understand the economics of various taxable structures
  • Articulate the implications for pre-retirement asset allocation and asset location
  • Develop drawdown strategies to take advantage of tax structures and the tax law in retirement

Join us on August 27, 2019 to learn how to implement tax efficient drawdown strategies to help increase your clients’ wealth in retirement.
